BLUE EARTH SOUND
Blue Earth Sound is the instrumental project of Chicago-based composer and multi-instrumentalist James Weir, blending cinematic jazz, soul, psychedelia and groove-led instrumentation into richly atmospheric soundscapes. Named after his roots in Blue Earth County, Minnesota, the project draws equally from the nostalgia of Weir's Midwestern upbringing and the collaborative spirit of his adopted Chicago home. Following breakout debut album ‘Cicero Nights’, which sold out across three vinyl pressings and earned support from BBC Radio 6 Music, BBC Radio 3, Jazz FM, NTS, KEXP and Clash, Blue Earth Sound continues to evolve with second album ‘Everything to Remember’, exploring memory, place and the emotional power of instrumental music through warm analogue textures, soulful grooves and cinematic composition.
