Famoso & Lafleur return with 'MicroDose' EP with KLA

Touching down two years on from their debut album, ‘Styles & Tribulations’, Anaheim, CA-based duo, Famoso & Lafleur uncover their brand new EP, ‘MicroDose’, which features Montebello-based artist KLA – set for release on DeepMatter Records.

Two friends from Anaheim, California, Famoso & Lafleur grew up listening to hip-hop, and eventually started making their own music for fun. The duo both started out rapping, with Niko eventually switching over to the production and Bob taking full reign on the mic. After a busy 2008 to 2011 where they released several projects, they decided to take a hiatus from music, later returning in 2017 with their ‘Bada Bing’ EP.

South London-based polymath Simon Jefferis has been setting mouths ajar with his expertly-crafted, atmosphere-heavy beats over the past few years. With his reputation as both a talented instrumentalist and adaptive producer steadily circulating through the city’s hip-hop undercurrents, 2020 sees Jefferis return with his debut LP ‘Vibrations’.

From the golden era energies of ‘Back 2 Ours’ featuring Austin’s Abhi The Nomad, through to the silky smooth melodies of ‘White Rabbit’ (featuring the incredible Rosie Lowe on vocals) and shoulder swaying rhythms of ‘Something In The Water’, ‘Vibrations’ is an expertly crafted production masterclass from start to finish.

With ease, Jefferis demonstrates the breadth of his musical capabilities, turning his hand to guitar, keys, drums and bass (with a little help from his friends along the way) with incredible results. Head nod inducing beats, jazz-infused keys and interweaving textures make this a stand out record amongst the already sonically rich London jazz scene.

Natty Reeves debut album 'Condition' is here!

DeepMatter is proud to present, 'Condition', the debut, full-length album from Natty Reeves. 11 tracks painting internal monologues and complex feelings across mesmerising groove-driven melodies and brightly coloured guitar soundscapes.

“I wanted to create an honest musical reflection of my past year. Condition is an attempt to balance my perfectionist approach and the imperfections in day to day life. The album was made in my bedroom with some help from close friends.”

All music throughout is written, performed, mix and mastered by Natty, with the exception of Living Lonely & Living Lonely (Reprise) in which he brought in his good friend and long-time collaborator, Simon Jefferis. As well as being an expression of himself as a musician, it was also an opportunity for Natty to show off his artistic side with a paintbrush – Using paintings he has created himself as the artworks throughout. A limited run of prints will be available of each artwork with the album's release.

After taking a 4-year hiatus from music, Famoso & Lafleur return with the follow-up to their debut EP ‘Bada Bing’ with their debut full-length album, Styles & Tribulations. Through a combination of Lafleurs’ laid back beat making with Famoso’s playful lyrics and delivery, the album transports you straight back to the glory days of the 80's & 90’s West Coast hip-hop movement.

Hailing from Anaheim, CA, Famoso & Lafleur, are a duo comprised of two locals, Bob Famoso and Niko Lafleur. Having been friends since Junior High, the duo have been making music together since 2005 where they would download instrumentals, rapping over them with an old computer mic or a $15 dollar mic from Radio Shack.
